Nets lost by 36 tonight. Horner got 4 points, 1-3 shooting, 2-2 FT, 2 Rebs in 8 minutes. I assume it was in mop-up time.

Costner is still kickin it in the NBADL, he went 5-10 from 3 last week and is still one of the top scorers in the league. Here is to hoping that he gets called up to the big leagues.

I had forgotten that Horner even existed.

I'm really glad that everyone on the team now is better than him.

Apparently we are so good now that a current NBA player would be the 9th man in our rotation.

Fuck off.

Horner was a below average ACC basketball player. Don't make him into Pistol fucking Pete because he miraculously latched on to an NBA roster.

I will say having perhaps a top 5 all-time bad ACC coach for four years didn't help.

side note: That was a tad bit on the agro side. My apologies.

Horner got cut from like the worst team in Belgium and somehow lucked onto the roster of the Nets, therefore he is retroactively a great player in NC State history. Let's retire the number 31 but instead of putting white numbers on the red jersey we can burn them in with an eternal flame.

"Los Angeles D-Fenders forward Brandon Costner has been named NBA Development League Player of the Month for games played in Nov. and Dec. The honor, the first of the 2011-12 season, is also the first of Costner’s NBA D-League career.

Costner (6-9, 235, North Carolina State), led Los Angeles to a 10-6 record during Nov. and Dec., averaging 25.7 points on 47-percent shooting to go with 6.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists. He scored a season-high 42 points in a 90-97 loss to the Idaho Stampede on Dec. 10, and four-times notched 30-plus point games. For his efforts, he was named NBA D-League Performer of the week on Dec. 12. "

^ I have no idea what this means. The D-league in bball isn't the same as baseball. Will he get called up or will he forever be a king of poor saps that didn't get drafted. IDK, but I think that he would better than *cough* Hansbro *cough*.

Hansbrough is a valuable rotation player on a playoff team. Costner wouldn't get off the bench for the fucking Bobcats.

There's homerism, there's blind homerism, there's blind rampant homerism without any regard for facts or empirical evidence, and then there's the NC State fans who think Brandon Costner is a superior NBA talent to Tyler Hansbrough. Bravo. You've reached a new low.

Nah, it was January. The 31 represents the last day of the month before they got more heating oil. A burned basketball always means it's the 31st.

hansbrough really isnt that good. career 43% shooter from the field as a PF. thats pathetic. oh, and he's already 26

i doubt costner would do any better but there are worse players collecting nba checks than him. horner being one of them

^ And he played very well in the playoffs last year when they played the Bulls tough. He had like 10 pts and 5 rebs a game. Plus...his "will" was a big factor.

Okay, but you're incorrect because he was terrible.

33% FG shooting on 12 shots a game is awful.

5 rebounds in 32 minutes for a PF is HORRIBLE.

You can't win with guys playing that poorly in the NBA. Hence the reason they went out and got a real PF in free agency this year.

He get cut?

I found this gem under "News & Notes" under his player profile on Yahoo:

Quote :
"Jan 14 F Dennis Horner (sprained ankle) on the sideline Saturday with an injury he suffered during warm-ups before the Friday game in Phoenix. "That was a new one," coach Avery Johnson said. "I never had a player get hurt in warm-ups before.""
