Log off TWW and facebook and read something of substance. It's transparently obvious to everyone here that you believe this garbage not because of actual knowledge about welfare or childraising, but because it's a fashionably cynical view that right wingers parrot because it confirms their worldview without actually making it come in contact with the world.

It's a tactic by the elite to make members of the working class (Dumbass white people) hate other members of the working class (Single black moms) so that they'll vote to pay for the tax decreases for the rich with cutting of social programs.

You're a tool of the highest order, the most blatant example possible of a useful idiot, and the longer you go on believing you have nothing to learn that can't be conferred to you by viral emails and images of campaign rallies the longer you'll continue to be the most ridiculous, laughable, sputtering moron on this entire forum.

You: "Do you think raising a child is easier than having a job?"

Me: I can imagine a situation in which raising a child is harder than having a job and I can imagine a situation in which having a job is harder than raising a child.

You: We all know you're very good at imagining things.

Alright, let's try testing your belief with a prediction.

If people have more children when welfare is more available, then it would be reasonable to expect that countries with a more pervasive welfare state would have higher birth rates.

Does this prediction make sense to you? If not, why?

"Deductive reasoning, also called deductive logic, is the process of reasoning from one or more general statements regarding what is known to reach a logically certain conclusion.[1] Deductive reasoning involves using given true premises to reach a conclusion that is also true. Deductive reasoning contrasts with inductive reasoning in that a specific conclusion is arrived at from a general principle. If the rules and logic of deduction are followed, this procedure ensures an accurate conclusion.

An example of a deductive argument:

1) All men are mortal.
2) Socrates is a man.
3) Therefore, Socrates is mortal.

"In the philosophy of science, falsifiability or refutability is a quality or characteristic of a scientific hypothesis or theory. Falsifiability is considered a positive (and often essential) quality of a hypothesis because it means that the hypothesis is testable by empirical experiment and thus conforms to the standards of scientific method. That something is "falsifiable" does not mean it is false, rather it means that if it is false, then observation or experiment will at some point demonstrate its falsehood.

For example, the assertion that "all swans are white" is falsifiable, because it is logically possible that a swan can be found that is not white. Not all statements that are falsifiable in principle are falsifiable in practice. For example, "It will be raining here in one million years" is theoretically falsifiable, but not practically so.

I'm not asking for an "all _______ are _________". You're positing that more welfare = more kids. I'm asking if you think there's a correlation. A correlation allows for exceptions, it only shows a general relationship.

It's something countries with lower birthrates have more of, and as it increases over time so does the birthrate decrease.

I mean, I just don't get it. How can the people of Sweden, for instance, have both one of the shortest work weeks (most free time) and most pervasive welfare in the world, yet also have one of the lowest birthrates? It doesn't make sense unless...unless...you have no clue what you're talking about and are just parroting baseless talking points created to demonize social services.

Comon man. You have an extremely active imagination, but only at imagining scenarios that confirm what you already believe. Try to accept the [i]possibility[i] that the reason all the data in the world disagrees with you might be because you're mistaken.

I never posted a map with birthrates, that one was of work weeks. You'll find African countries on the table I posted on the prior page, that showed that birth rates are highest in the countries with the lowest GDP per capita.

It might also interest you to know that welfare in Africa is nearly non-existent. The vast majority of people who eat at all in Africa do so by subsistence farming, something that takes a lot more than 40 hours a week.

On one hand, we have my theory that standard of living is negatively correlated with birthrate, which is more than obvious in just about any data set comparing the two quantities.

On the other hand, we have your theory that birthrate is higher when you have more free time OR more welfare available, depending on which one I'm proving you wrong on, and in order to keep repeating requires you to twist and contort so violently that your head goes up your ass, comes out your mouth, back into your ass, in a never-ending Ouroboros of inanity.

Which subsistence farmers, which are the most prevalent in Africa of any other continent, have the least of.

There's next to no welfare in Africa, that means that if you aren't subsistence farming from dawn until dusk 7 days a week, you die from not eating.

Judging by how much time you spend on here, on the other hand, one would think you would have a brood of about 20 by now.

According to you it does. Subsistence farming is super-labor-intensive and super-time-consuming, which means Africans in generally have very, little free time compared to first world workers. They also have almost no welfare. So why do they have such high birth rates?

Im pretty sure they have a high birthrate because many don't have jobs, women are either controlled or owned by men, rape is probably threw the roof which explain the high AIDS epidemic there, their one job is to watch the kids, not to mention the lack of birth control, and to further escalate the baby making, the only means to cure boredom for men is to fuck and rape women.

I can't really account for women's rights in Africa.

That doesn't mean they have free time. Like I said, without a job in Africa, there's no welfare to go to, so you either become a beggar or subsistence farm. Subsistence farmers have little to no free time at all, and I don't think you can attribute the entire birthrate to beggar-rapists (but you might try, knowing you).

Oh, so now it's about gender inequality?

Seriously man, how many new theories are you going to come up with before you even consider mine? Why are you so resistant to the possibility that higher standard of living encourages lower birth rates?

Is it because you're a libertarian, so any mention of possibly helping poor people is disgusting to you because it means big gubbamint? Seriously dude, why are you so willing to entertain any and every theory except the most obvious one? You said so yourself: they don't have a lot of birth control there. That's not because condoms dry up in the African heat, it's because they are poor as shit and don't have quality sex education, two things that you don't find in countries with a higher standard of living.

Even if he did plan this trip after his vote, why is wanting to avoid the press evidence of something weird or a conspiracy.

Also, this was in June/July. It's October now, so how exactly is this evidence of something weird? And what is it evidence of?

What's weird is that he chose Malta back in July and now there is a major crisis there when Malta was previously completely off the radar.

What's weird is that he's a supreme court justice....in Malta.
