riddle me this...I saw a friend of mine on there yesterday (obviously swiped no) and this morning he texted me and said he saw me on there (and swiped no).

why are they showing him (or anyone) my profile after I've already swiped no?

Makes sense to me. Everyone gets to swipe everyone else. If they took no-swipers off your list before you got to swipe them there might not be very many people to look at. The app would seem to work better if you get to swipe more people. This is all worded poorly but I think you know what I mean

You don't disappear from someone's list just because you swipe "no". They just don't show a connection if they swipe "yes".

If people couldn't see people that swiped "no" on them....then really fat, ugly people would barely have anyone to browse through.

I just had a bizarre coincidence happen today. I've met up with two tinder matches in Denver. One was a one night stand, the other is this current girl who I'm "dating". She mentions today that she's going on a women's camping trip organized by a girl named Hannah who lives in a certain area in Denver. Pulls up a picture on her phone and it's the same girl. so i think i've really become numb to the idea of being in a relationship...i don't know what it is with me lately. I've been on a pretty good role this summer with some really cool and fun girls but when it comes down to it i have almost zero interest in going to the next step with any of them even though some had great potential. It's like i've gone cold inside. Currently spending time with a girl from tinder that I really like. but it's like i have to tell myself to like her more.

nah just kidding, but tinder for me has watered down the dating experience. It's made me objectify women more (not that I didn't before) breaking it down into a swipe left/swipe right dichotomy. Also it's made me lazier and not hungry enough to be social. Going to a bar and getting a girl's number is harder, but 'the chase' more of a thrill and sense of accomplishment.

Also, I wonder if/when people are gonna start getting married off tinder. It was weird in 2000 when people did it on the internet but now it's pretty common. Everyone's become a real-life Kip (don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day) from Napoleon Dynamite.

My friend and I made a bet revolving around Tinder. I made an account for 24 hours and right swiped every person until it ran out. got 42 matches and three messages. Only one girl was decently attractive. My female friend did the same thing but only swiped guys she thought were hot and she still got up to 40 matches. She had some real gems as far as messages go.
