Is it still as good as I remember? i'm wondering if i'm just romanticizing a memory from "the good ole days." I'm thinking about making a special stop there and I'm wondering if it's even worth it?

I went there in college one time after smoking way too much. I was not prepared for how involved I had to be in preparing my meal. Made for a really unpleasant experience

I don't agree with you much Smath, but you're on point here. Crazy Fire was too fucking complicated. Bali Hai was fucking easy, and tasty as hell.

I remember the glory days when, like, 10 Wolf Webbers worked at Crazy Fire and would always lace me up with that employee discount and/or free drink.

The cary one is not any good any more. They changed owners a year or two ago and the food quality has sucked ever since.

Never been to the Capital one(s), so cant speak for them, but ive many people plus myself personally that were sad to see the decline of the Cary one.

Bali Bai in Durham was awesome, I never made it to the one in Raleigh. Crazy Fire in Cary was wonderful whenever I went a few years ago with college friends (none of us were high, must've been doing something wrong), but the one on Capital is still delicious as of this past fall

The trick is to line the rim of your bowl with zucchini to extend it and allow it to be that much more piled over.

I haven't been in like 6 years though.

What's the word on Raleigh's Bali Hai? Supposedly they were going to rebuild, but I haven't heard anything since: message_topic.aspx?topic=639051

While I do like idea of making your own style of dirty grill foodstuff, the food sanitation is a goddamn nightmare at these places.

Eh. That which does not kill you makes you shit squirts streams for a little while and then gives you immunity to such things so that you may sit back and laugh uncontrollably to those who are currently suffering the consequences of eating such swill. And sneer at those too chickenshit to make it over that hump.

It all does. But I do try to get it as hot as I can. Three scoops of crazy sauce and one of house sauce.

I never tried Bali Hai, but wish I had. Durham isn't convenient to me now.

But Crazy Fire in Cary is convenient.

Oh. My. GOD. The explosion that has ensued after today's visit was nothing short of ear shattering. I'm sure people heard it out in the hall.

This is the best way to cleanse one's colon EVER.
