One. My granddad was fulltime farmer, dad was fulltime farmer up until they had me, then pulled to part time. We quit in 2000. Tobacco, Beans, Corn, few pigs. 300 acres.

Its funny, farm was/is in Franklin County, NC. Family has been on the same spot since the early 1800's farming.

We also had allot of firsts. One of the first bulk tobacco barns in NC. First tractor with a cab in a few county radius back in the early 70's. First combine with a cab within a few counties in the 70's. First automated tobacco primer in the area.

Still hate we dont farm, nearly 200yrs of farming heritage just poof, gone.

1 generation, as my parents still farm in Warren county. Like a lot of farmers, they have another business to supplement their income.

I topped and primed tobacco as a young man, last farmers in the family would be my cousins near Salisbury who hung it up in the mid 90's.

Three generations removed on my dad's side (great grandfather had a farm which he worked later in his career). My mom's side never engaged in farming dating back to when her ancestors came to the US in the early 1800s. That side was all tradesmen or civil servants.
