There are plenty of examples of fans being great with each other at this euros as well. Wouldn't give much credence to the others who have been bad.

Unless Woy somehow magically pulls a win out of this tournament (lol yes I am aware the odds of that are like 0.00001%) I think he's done as manager. Putting Kane on corners last game and now starting Sterling instead of Vardy (which almost cost the game) is just poor decision making. Keeping Rooney on in the starting eleven alone is a mistake.

Regardless, my head pretty much exploded when Sturridge scored in stoppage time.

one side of this bracket doesn't look like the other: Germany, Italy, Spain, France, England all on the same side of the Round of 16. I think I read that the tournament was already guaranteed to have a first time major tournament finalist how it shaped up. I didn't confirm that though. Should be some fun matches.

Truth. I'm an England fan and will support them to the day that I die but I am also a realist. Their level of play hasn't been top tier since the late 90s. Aside from a few good spots here and there, their game has been slow and lackluster for years. My prediction is that England's overconfidence (and underestimation of Iceland) will result in a 1-1 draw, ultimately going to PKs, which England will of course lose. They always lose shootouts.

I'm not. England has been embarrassingly pedestrian for decades, yet they refuse to acknowledge their place in the footballing pecking order. How many tournaments of embarrassing group stage underperformances, early knockout exits, and underwhelming play will it take for people to realize that the entire English style of play does not work well in international competitions?
