Another shitastic performance. 14 missed FTS, lazy defense, bad rebounding. DSJ continues to jack up 3s even though he is not a shooter. I'm holding out hope that we get better as the season progresses, but man we look like a 4 win ACC team right now.

Glad Henderson showed up in a big way after last game. Kapita could be big if he can stay out of foul trouble. Can't get too mad at him yet though because looks like he is trying really hard on defense.

I get blaming the injuries for Creighton and to some extent loosing to Illinois on their court, but we should not be barely escaping Boston University with the talent that we have.

Just re-watched some of the game. I have no idea why DSJ would prefer to jack up 3s all night when he can get to the rim and dunk at will. What exactly is he trying to prove?

He's not trying to prove anything. In high school those paths to the basket were bigger, lasted longer, and more obvious.

He's just trying to score points on occasions where the defense has closed down the lanes on him.

And they ran zone most of the night. Everyone knows three point shooting is one of the two ways you beat the zone.

I think DSJ should keep taking the threes if he's open. He has a nice jump shot, so the 3 point shot will be the last piece to the puzzle. I have a feeling that towards the mid portion of the ACC he will become more consistent. Everyone knows he can drive, but if he can start making teams pay by nailing 3s then that opens up the offense tremendously. We're not going to win many ACC games if the defense keeps letting scrubs hang points on them easily. Screen defense and stopping dribble penetration seems to by habitually poor.
