My two cents: the GOP went on a very, very expensive war path with HRC as secretary of state regarding Benghazi and the email server.

We now have mounting evidence regarding a foreign country meddling in our election. It is ridiculous that anyone who supported the Benghazi hearing but thinks that we just need to "let it go" when it comes to the Russia stuff.

It's pretty much a fact that they "influenced" the election. If nothing more they had a massive horde of twitter bots that were pro-Trump/anti-HRC. That's fine though.

My personal opinion is that the Russian intent was to delegitimize the Clinton presidency and not to have Trump win. Now they realize that the unpredictability of Trump might be a major problem.

really the only questionable link i posted is a random wordpress blog, and i clearly marked that as "(conjecture)" since it is just conjecture by some dude. the reason i included it at all is because it is conjecture about a few facts. its by far the most conspiracy theory thing i included since it's about a russian who was shot twice in his car but was reported as a heart attack. its also not necessary for the larger story, you can disregard it entirely if you want.

Take Benghazi. Is Clinton responsible? Absolutely not. But as a leader, she could have done a lot more to fix things at the State Department and may have been negligent in some cases.

Take the Russian stuff. Is Trump actually an asset/spy? Most likely not. But he has absolutely taken policy stances/opinions in direct conflict with American and other (read Ukrainian) interests based on having picked some of the worst people on the planet for his administration and campaign, most of whom love Russia for some inexplicable reason and keep lying about their correspondence/meetings/etc.

I think there's a strong possibility that Manafort, Page, Stone and maybe even Bannon are skirting the edge between being outright assets and being simply corrupt pieces of human shit. The question is whether Trump knows this or is just catering based on his random obsession with Russia over business interests.

I think they took advantage of Flynn. He is a patriot and truly thinks Islam is the biggest, existential threat to the United States (it isn't) and because of that was willing to work with Russia to 1) handle them and 2) put more pressure on China.

Sessions I can't tell one way or the other. I listen to him speak and wonder how in the hell he has been anything other than a janitor in his life. But I actually do think he perjured himself in which case I'm baffled.
