Ok. After tonight I'm a fan.

How many athletes can say they have thrown a game winning TD in a NFL Playoff game AND hit a Home Run at their first at bat as a professional baseball player???

http://m.mlb.com/cutfour/2017/04/06/222749364/tim-tebow-hits-home-run-in-first-minor-league-at-bat?tcid=fb_article_222749364

HOW LONG BEFORE WE SEE "TEBOW KNOWS" T Shirts?

I think those Tebow Knows shirts will come once Tim is elite at both sports at the top level. Or when he barrels over an in his prime Boz.

I'm happy for Timmy, but this wouldn't be possible without his celebrity status. Not every Joe Schmoe can find the local 1A team try out, fail, and still make the roster.
Not every man can win a Heisman trophy either, but that doesn't make you a pro at everything else.

Another home run Sunday night!!!

He's hitting .235 on 17 AB with 2 HR and 5 RBI .588 SLG so far this season and he's only going to get better!

Tim Tebow broke the Mets thread, so I'm happy to not post there about him any more.

Tebow is a talented athlete. Unfortunately his talent is not enough to allow him to excel at any one sport. He'll be a long term politician one day representing all the fine redneck UF fans of greater northeast FL.

Sounds like he's just bored against such a low level of competition. Call him up to the show!

He had 2 HRs in like his first week in the SAL, then one the rest of his time there. Don't get too excited yet. This is still just a ridiculous PR stunt/moneymaker for their minor league affiliates.

Nobody thinks it's anything other than a PR stunt though, right?

And I'm not a tebow fan at all...and it's easy to laugh at the .222 batting average. But I'm surprised he hit even that well. I would've taken the under on an O/U of .200 batting average.

As a Mets fan, of course this is a PR stunt. They promoted him to the Florida-based affiliate so they can sell jerseys to Florida fans.

HOWEVER, the risk vs reward is hugely in Mets' favor. If it turns out he can be a legit player, then they scored big on top of the merchandise. I don't think it will happen, but you really never know given some of the crazy MLB out of nowhere and comeback stories.

https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/tim-tebow-is-failing-up/?addata=espn:frontpage

there is about a zero percent chance that he will ever become a legit player

^I agree, I'm saying that signing him in the first place was worth it.
