yeah best since Cotchery, imo. we've had some solid WRs (probably made better by great QBs) like Owen Spencer, Jarvis Williams, etc....but Harmon is just on another level than those guys. and he's a true sophomore.

Hope you come back with a big week. Maybe Clemson's DB's were too fast for him to get open?

Right thing to do.

I actually think Finley should play in the bowl, lost some draft stock in the latter half of the season and this is a rough year for QB prospects since there were so many drafted last year.

Finley has no reason not to play in the bowl. He's not a first round pick.

I'll be curious to see where he's mocked after he runs his 40. If he runs something in the low 4.4s, could vault way up.

If he runs a low 4.4, he'd be a top 5 pick.

Really? Everybody here was saying he was the #1 pick.

Finley will be lucky to be drafted in the first 3 rounds. He should play though honestly, id love to see what mckay would do in a full game with a month to prepare. Would be a fun look into next season.

Like I've always said, Finley should and will be the first QB selected in April. I think most other TWWers have also said the same thing.

I don't know what you are all seeing in Finley, he def. isn't going to be the first pick in the draft. I did some research on his performance in the Red Zone, and sometimes he throws the ball high according to the advanced metrics. NFL teams don't like that. They want a QB who doesn't throw high, but throws middle height. Low isn't good either, because if the ball bounces before the receiver it doesn't count, but he doesn't seem to have an issue throwing low. It is when he throws the ball higher than he receivers that they can't catch it. That is an issue, because in the NFL you have to get 2 feet down, not 1, so in that case when he throws the ball too high they won't be able to catch the ball and get that second foot down. So unless he improves on his middle height passes, I don't think he'll be a good quarterback like you all think he is, winning the super bowls and such. I'm looking forward to next year when we have a QB that throws the ball less high less often. I'm hoping that DD is working on that right now. In fact it would be good if Finley doesn't play in the bowl game so that our next QB can start practicing passing not higher than the players.

This is just my observations. I give these observations during the games and sometimes after the games because I know you are all interested in my observations.

Finley doesn't have a flashy game, so as fans his failures are gonna stick out more in our memory than his successes. An interception against Clemson vs. a perfectly thrown back shoulder that goes for 15 yards against Georgia State for example. Scouts are gonna watch all his snaps from all his games from all possible angles. Not gonna bother predicting where he goes but I imagine it'll be a lot higher than most of us think.

He'll be a ~3rd round pick. He's smart, he just lacks the arm talent to become a quality NFL starter. Also they'll definitely knock his tendency to wilt in high pressure situations. Dude can definitely be a long time backup in the league though.

^ 100%

At first I thought “old plant” was a nickname given to him because of his “sage” wisdom in the locker room. But now I know how he got that nickname.

Because he wilts. Under pressure. Like an old plant.
