I know, I sound like a crotchety old man. And I am. But shit is too expensive. Who do I look like, Moneybags EMCE

-I went in subway for the first time in several years last week, and paid $15 for a damn footlong sandwich. A fucking sandwich!

-New car prices are insane. Since when did a jeep wrangler become a $50k car?

-Whats the rent for a 1bd apartment in Raleigh these days? I've heard Raleigh got stupid expensive recently. You can find a decent 1bd in DC for about $2500. The cost to purchase a home is bonkers these days too.

-Groceries.

Yeah I have a decent enough grant/loan scheme and stuff so I've been able to save a lot from work.

Nothing tangible yet but if I can find something decently cheap this winter, I'll try to explore what small loan or option I can take and go for it. im not super educated on the finance stuff so exploring that is what im excited about here

You'll need an LLC for a small business and a bank account for said business account. Banks that you have accounts with will normally notarize documents for free.
Use legal zoom and find you a generic auto bill of sale contract.
Have the car buyer pay the DMV fee for transfer of title. $21.50 or $56?
I'm not sure how the taxes work. I would assume that you pay taxes to the state when you buy the vehicle and then your buyer pays taxes to the state on what they pay you.

1. You all need to seek out and enjoy better pizza
2. This thread isn't about ways to reduce costs. It's about how expensive everything is
3. Ordering an XL pizza and having it delivered would not have cost anywhere near $32, not too long ago seemingly.

Also, of note: I was under the assumption that the delivery fee does not go to the driver, thus the need for an additional tip.
Also of note, many restaurants around here have instituted some sort of special restaurant fee. It really started during COVID, and the supply chain issues at the time. However since the worst of COVID has waned and the supply chain issues were resolved, the restaurant fees remain. Yet another way everything is so expensive.

I live just off 70 near Umstead Park. I see listings for one-bedroom apartments from $1,200-1,500 a month. My mortage payment on a three-bedroom townhome is in that range.

Welcome to economic history.

What this thread really says is I am now old enough to have experienced the real effects of inflation in an economic system. You just substituted pizza for the bread, milk, eggs, and gasoline the old timers like to complain about.

you're correct, I might've phrased what I said wrong, but I was saying the same. and yeah, a lot of expense comes from things that used to be free and are now suddenly charges

All fast food is about the same as a fast casual place now, but not nearly as good. The only way to get decent prices on fast food is if you download their shitty app so they can steal your data and sell it.

Yeah. My favorite fast food item was the Mexican Pizza, but I can't really justify 5+ bucks for the thing lmao. especially considering how terrible the joint on western is
