| class comments : | She wrote the book, and it's horrible. It's more like a collection of notes and photocopies out of other (legitimate) music books all thrown together in a 3 ring binder. It was hard to see where things were going most of the time, assignments were vauge. I felt like she boiled music down to a purely mechanical process. You have to right in "proper" classical form, which I understand to a point, but it seems like some deviation should be permitted, as long as you can explain what it is you're |

| class comments : | Attendance policy was strict, but the class was enjoyable to go to b/c I enjoyed hearing her play. I was in a band before this class, and it was interesting seeing why and how some of our melodies sound good. |

| instructor comments : | She really wants you to learn the material, she will slow down the class if someone asks a question just to make sure you get it. Just take your assignments into her and she will let you know what is wrong and what to fix. |
