HELP WANTED: TWW Advertising Representative!

Responsibilities:
- contact local businesses in regards to advertising on TWW
- meet with potential sponsors in order to complete sales
- stay in touch with clients to ensure quality relationship
- establish outsourced ad creation service for clients without capabilities to create their own ads

Time Commitment:
The desired time commitment will be 10-15 hours a week initially, tapering off as sponsorship would increase.

Qualities Required:
- personable
- some sales experience
- motivated
- NCSU Student
- basic understanding of online communities

Other Desirable Qualities:
- contacts within local businesses
- understanding of TWW ad system
- business or technical major

Supervisor:
Jake

Pay:
TBD, but will be more than fair and commission only!

This should be a great opportunity and excellent experience for someone interested in technical sales. TWW has over 7000 members, and thousands more lurkers, but has hardly tapped the advertising market surrounding NCSU. I know of similar sites with a fraction of the traffic that bring in twice as much advertising revenue as we do. If you look at our traffic, ad rates, and current advertising, you can see for yourself that there is a lot of room for improvement!

i think TWW is always struggling for funds. if i'm not mistaken, crazyj and joe have sunk a lot of money into this they've never recouped

contact Techni-Quest automotive in Cary. They were eager to get the word out last year when I told them that I heard about them on TWW. They even gave me a 10% discount for offering to post a review of their work on here.

I have a few clients for ya CJ just need some way that I can resale ads for commission... meant to pm you about it a while back but forgot are you putting some system in that would allow me to do it easily? Don't want it to be a full time job just want to get some money out of getting other people to advertise...
