CSC Pig Pickin'

submitted by Perlith on Wednesday, April 27 2005 at 2:58 PM

Date: Friday, April 29th
Time: 3:30-6:30pm
Location: Pullen Park, Shelter #5

Every year, the ACM/AITP student chapter of NC State hosts the computer science department's annual Pig Pickin'. The Pig Pickin' is a huge banquet of food and activities that bring together many of the department's students, faculty and staff in a casual and relaxing environment.

The food this year will feature our traditional slow-cooked pig, fried chicken, potato salad, delicious sweet tea, and an assortment of other side dishes. For those are vegetarian, Women in Computer Science (WICS) will be generously donating vegetarian dishes for the event, catered by Neomonde's. Thanks to our sponsors, all of the food will be FREE.

In addition to the food, many activities will be available to participate in. Volleyball games will be ongoing throughout the Pig Pickin'. ECE will also be present at Pullen Park and has challenged CSC to a game of Ultimate Frisbee! Several game boards will also be setup and ready to play for those who wish to stimulate their minds.

You do not have to be a CSC major to attend. If you have taken a CSC course, know somebody in CSC, or just want to have a good time, come on out!
