If he really means nothing to you, you would brush his comments off much like a gnat landing on your shoulder. first of all the post wasn't directed at you, I didn't realize you had slipped in there between my posts and stones. Secondly, I am not defending any one person here, rather the integrity of the forum. If a new moderator means all the retarded shit will stop (and this is the pre current retarded shit) then I am all for it. But it won't stop, it was going on before you guys decided to take offense to jj locking threads. Shit man, my first few posts in the garage were banging heads with jj about the domestic vs. import battle. At the time I was all domestic, now look what i drive. We can all learn from everyone. jjs problem is he is too over exuberant and overly critical about everything. He has yet to understand (despite mine and others many attempts at explaining) that people buy cars for more reasons than to just have the absolute best bang for the buck/performer/ what have you. Yes, it is ghey to call someone ignorant or what have you for actually enjoying driving a pushrod powered car; this is his biggest problem and until he changes people are going to continue to push his buttons. My point is just overlook him, when you read a post where he is slamming someone for this and that, it is nothing you haven't read before, act like he isn't there. Everyone did a good job when scrumples was in here trolling, except jj (which is probably what got everyone fired up in the first place).

jj does fine. he's confrontational as hell and usually not very tactful (in his everyday posting), but i don't see anything wrong (at least not wrong enough to warrant any major action) with his moderating.

furthermore, why are all these people who never even post in the garage (except to fuck it up) sweating over who the mod is? i fail to see why you care.

and i have no great hard on for the mod position, but i'll volunteer to do it if that's what people want. ncsudryver, i'll be as anal as jj about locking/deleting (or pretty damned close...i'd let stuff slide on occassion from people who post a lot of serious stuff in the garage. i mean, if zxappeal posted something in jest, i'd let it slide every now and then. if, say, jackleg did, prob less likely). i don't think anyone would classify me as nonconfrontational, but i'm prob a lot more tactful than jj.

no, the problem is just that duke, he doesn't draw the line between moderation and everyday posting. he uses his lock/delete button not to moderate, but to prevent his "being owned" its a knowitall on a power trip, which never turns out well.
