^ couldnt you just lock the threads as they are created? granted that is a lot more effort than just locking chit chat, but you dont need a reason to lock them, right?

and things are boring now w/ endless thread creation for most users...think about how piss poor the entertainment would be if each posting user could only create 3 threads...now granted / this would be great if used as a punishment type thing but not for general posting

you gotta be kidding me...that's a total of 9 threads total per day just in 3 forums alone
it would hardly do any damage...we go through like 4-6 pages of chit chat a day and most of the crap gets like 2-5 posts

meanwhile interesting threads get buried within an hour due to this repetitive thread posting...mainly by personal banter and parody threads

and many of those threads were made the day before and could simply just be brought up again, i.e. "my life sucks," "b00bs r great," and "tww female whore of the week"

i don't give a shit that you decided that posting a thread named "rofl" with the same picture that you've been posting all evening would be amusing.

and making threads asking what you should eat or if there is anything on tv, etc etc etc. how about you look for yourself since you're obviously on the internet.

here's the thing

there's 80539894 attn: joie/bmwblonde threads

there's also a good number of attn: jackleg/scrumpals/esgargs etc that are usually less irritating and not as posted in, but still get repeated over and over

should all be locked regardless and forced into one thread?


plus there's been no concensus on parody threads...the only time i really feel justified in locking them is when like 3 + pop up

hopefully the topic creation idea doesnt happen, most of the post in chit chat are stupid anyways, and it used to be the garbage. If you want meaningful, thoughtful, WELL WELL WELL WELL thought out posts, go to the lounge.

and if they are such great threads that get buried, obviously very few agree with you or it would not get buried...face it, the stupid threads get the most replies

move the so called interesting threads to the lounge or a chit-chat+ section. there coule be some kind of voting or ranking mechanism or something to determine what is an interesting thread maybe?
