No, it isn't, actually. We read from the left to the right; when we're finished reading, it is most convenient to go for the rightmost button set, and it's most efficient to put the most-used buttons there. Fuck a "Subscribe to Topic."

I agree, having total site navigation in one area is the best, and makes the most sense. It took a day or so for myself to become aquainted, but you will come to like it.
