why don't we ever get status updates on this site?

every other site i belong to give some sort of status update after there's been a problem big enough to take the site down...

but with this site we're always left in the dark about wha'ts going on... i mean, it doesn't even have to be something on the home page, it can just be a thread here in feedback forum giving a rough overview...

(of course those sites also usually take suggestions from their users, so i guess what applies there shouldn't apply here)...

the fucking dns errors suck
