Actually Dane Cook started getting a lot of acclaim awhile back. Thats part of how he landed his role in the movie Mystery Men. But even then most people hadn't heard of him. Its just one of those things you have to keep at and eventually you get to being a household name.

I think that Dane Cook should get his own Comedy Central Show. I loved Carlos Mencia's standups but I personally think his show is lacking.

I think Dane Cook would actually make a show where the subject matter isn't just race (see: Chapelle's Show, Mind of Mencia).

i love stephen lynch

but something about dane cook that just bothers me. its like, he tries too hard. i can almost hear him asking himself "is this funny? don't you think this is just wacky?" everytime he tells a joke.

he's ok, definitely better than most premium blend comedy central hacks, but i'm just not that big of a fan

however, that line above about tekken almost ALMOST makes me wanna go buy this album.

Both my roommates love Dane Cook. On a recent trip to the beach we listened to his CDs in the car (new and old CDs). I thought a few things were funny, but altogether I wasn't really impressed. Maybe its b/c I was concentrating on driving and not paying attention enough to the comedy, but I doubt it. Also didn't think the DVD was that funny either.

Guess its all lost on me...

I think stephen lynch is the man, but dane cook is a little too spastic for me at times. kinda like dennis leary. I mean, they're both funny, but sometimes they just get a little annoying cuz they're so fucking hyper.
