I'm still holding out that this movie will hold true to what DOOM was all about. That the entire squad will be killed off except one person, and he'll have to save the place himself by blasting through a cyber-demon

The whole demons thing is a lot scarier then mutants when the main character knows that he is fighting against minions of THE DEVIL. That and the whole going to hell to fight a giant cyberdemon thing. It is just a hell of a lot more creepy.

Oh and one thing that might make this movie worthwhile is if The Rock goes into beserk mode and starts punching them and making them explode.

Ok now that I am home from work I got a chance to see that new trailer and you're right, it does look a lot better. The fps shots actually looked pretty decent. I saw a plasma gun and a chainsaw in there, which is always a must in Doom. I also saw one of those giant pig-demon things.

the only thing this movie has going for it is that they are making it different at least, trying to incorporate the first person shooter look into the movie, and looks like they're incoroprating a lot of the actual weapons, doesnt mean the movie's gonna be any good, but at least they're trying something a little different, i dont understand why they couldn't just make the monsters from hell instead of being mutants though.

^^I agree. They are at least trying to make it as faithful to the fps genre. Although it would be kinda funny if they had a little picture of The Rock down at the bottom of the screen and as he took more damage, his face would be more beatup and bloody

It was set on another planet with mutants, but they switched it back to mars with demons from hell. Atleast thats what I've been led to believe. Also Im not sure how well the whole fps view is going to work.

Ha I remember in the original, you would just be walking along and you would hear a bunch of snorting, then one of those pink things would run up and start biting you.

They should make a Wolfenstein movie. It would only have three actors/characters in it: Nazi in brown uniform with pistol, Nazi in blue uniform with machine gun, and Mecha-Hitler.

It came out for the PC (April) but not consoles. It came out in Gamestop 2 weeks ago. I preordered it.
