I use thunderbird as well. It works just as good as outlook if you only use it for email.

Microsoft Entourage is great for integrating emails and meetings with its built-in calendar and reminder system. I highly recommend it.

change the email address the school has, have your mail forwarded, and stop using webmail

we have POP3 servers, right? My outlook was working perfectly fine for like 2 years until a few days ago. And now I can only access webmail by going to the website, when I open up outlook it prompts me for my password (never used to) and the password no longer works. Any ideas?

All students should be on IMAP. Almost all faculty are on IMAP as well now.
