Has anyone heard anything about these?

I am thinking about buying one.

I used to own one. The user interface is pretty shitty. You basically navigate the thing just like a portable hard drive with folders and such. The buttons are really loud when you click em. There is some sort of hacked firmware you want to be sure and install on it, cuz the one it ships with is even crappier.


oh, and mine broke after bout 2 months, at which point i sold the refurbed one i got back and got an iPod.

They make decent battery chargers.

yep

i had one too, same experiences. It works for a couple months, then broke. Interface is crappy, and the battery life SUCKS. I had around 2-3 hours use off a charge

I posted about this damn Archos player on Engadget the other day, when they were asking about people's first MP3 players or something. I totally forgot that I used mine to recharge batteries.
