"Venezuela to sell cut-price heating oil to U.S. poor
Aug 29 10:39 PM US/Eastern

CARACAS, Venezuela (Reuters) - Venezuela's President Hugo Chavez said on Monday his government plans to sell as much as 66,000 barrels per day of heating fuel from its U.S. Citgo refinery to poor communities in the United States.

The offer, made after populist Chavez held talks with U.S. civil rights activist Rev. Jesse Jackson, would represent 10 percent of the 660,000 bpd of refined products processed by Citgo. The deals would cut consumer costs by direct sales.

Venezuela's Energy Minister Rafael Ramirez said officials were still working on the details on how the oil would be sold from Citgo, a unit of the state oil firm PDVSA.

"We are going to direct as much as 10 percent of the production, that means 66,000 barrels, without intermediaries, to poor communities, hospitals, religious communities, schools," Chavez told reporters at a press conference.

The world's No. 5 oil exporter, oil cartel OPEC member Venezuela is a key supplier to the United States, providing about 15 percent of all U.S. energy imports.

But relations between Caracas and Washington have become strained since left-winger Chavez was elected in 1998 promising social reforms.

Chavez, a former army officer who survived a coup in 2002, frequently accuses the U.S. of backing efforts to kill him or topple his government. U.S. officials dismiss those charges but say Chavez has become a threat to regional stability."

He's not a "threat to regional stablility" in so much as he's a threat to the plans and agenda of the chieftans of the New World Order.

Chavez is now becoming a threat to the elite-controlled oil industry. He won't go along with their plans and now he may be cutting into their profits. This is part of the reason he is being targetted by the U.S.

Control of the world's oil resources is critical to the goals of those pushing for the "new world order" (or global government by the elite). This is partly why the U.S. is at war in Iraq and Afghanistan (and possibly Iran). This is all explained and mapped out in Zbigniew Brzezinski's book The Grand Chessboard: American Primacy and Its Geostrategic Imperatives...as well as in the publications of the Neo-Con think tank The Project for the New American Century (http://www.newamericancentury.org/

Can you prove the existance of this New World Order? Its the cornerstone to every ridiculous theory that post, yet you have can't seem to provide any sort of hard proof.

Thank God! Hopefully, by diverting millions of dollars away from the people of Venezuela, Chavez will stir resentment and cause the people to rise up against him. Venezuela is a comparatively poor country, thanks to no small part to his mismanagement of the economy (double digit negative growth for years, at least until the windfall profits of the oil boom).

Either way, he will be poorer and less able to fuck things up.

It's PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE you dolt. The elite publically admit their desire to create the "new world order." But you'll still call it a "paranoid conspiracy theory", right? Us "conspiracy theorists" are just "making it all up", right?

Educate yourself...

"Multilateralism" is "outmoded"? I guess that means he wants one government for the entire world.

The "new world order" that the elite want to achieve is to be a global government consistent with the goals of the United Nations. The United Nations was founded by known communists and is promoting a socialist/communist agenda throughout the world, including abolishment of private property ownership, the abolishment of private firearm ownership, abortion, and a MASSIVE worldwide population reduction in the name of "saving the planet" (ie, the radical environmentalist movement).

Oh, I see. Whenever a politician says "new world order" thats actually a reference to the elitist zionist plan to turn the world into a global police state. It has nothing to do with the idea of nations working together to achieve common goals.

And apparently I'm a dolt for not drinking your Koolaid.

I'm still waiting for proof.

It has EVERYTHING to do with "ending multilateralism" and creating a one-world government that has goals consistent with those of the United Nations (AS IS ABSOLUTELY PROVEN BY QUOTES FROM WORLD LEADERS IN THE ABOVE ARTICLES).

Quote :
"I'm still waiting for proof."

Real evidence and proof doesn't mean a damn thing to you. All the proof in the world could be staring you in the face, but you'll still claim that the proof doesn't exist if the evidence goes against your particular agenda.

Now back to your disinformation and noninformation agenda.

So whenever politicians call for unilateralism, its actually meant to imply that one world government must be brought about? Wow. That doesn't strike you as absurdly far-fetched?

Instead of creatively interpreting quotes to serve your conspiracy, why don't you provide some hard evidence that nearly all world leaders are a part of a secret organization run by the jews intent on ruling the world? How about some pictures of them doing their secret handshake?

Chavez - A Hero To Venezuelans, An Enemy Of Bush Cabal
http://www.startribune.com/stories/1519/5581661.html

Quote :
"Mattie Weiss: Robertson's not alone in his dislike of Chavez

...These individuals, like millions across Venezuela, have experienced tangible, visible change in their lives over the last several years. But while these changes have made Chavez a hero in the eyes of Venezuela's poor majority, they have made him an enemy in the White House.

It makes Washington's blood boil that Chavez not only denounces its global mandates of fiscal austerity, structural adjustment and radical privatization, but that Venezuela has the resources to successfully enact its own development model.

Using its oil wealth, Venezuela is constructing one of the truly alternative models of economic growth in today's world. The fourth-largest exporter of petroleum to the United States, Venezuela has shifted production from multinational corporations into the hands of the state, which now harvests the bulk of this liquid gold in order to sembrar el petroleo, "sow the oil," and invest billions inwards.

So while Venezuela sows its oil, Washington is sowing the seeds to unseat Chavez. It is building up the case for invasion, a coup or an assassination. If, for many of us, Robertson's comments were the first we registered of this positioning, it is not the first for Venezuelans, who speak often of being the potential next battleground, overt or covert, in the United States' deceptive and never-ending "war on terrorism."

Let us be wary. Very. For those moving to vilify Chavez are the same people who knowingly lied about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, who used nonexistent uranium to justify a war in which tens of hundreds of young Americans and countless Iraqis have died."

I'm inclined to agree with LoneSnark on this one.

For whatever reason, Chavez suddenly feels the need to improve his image in the US and is attempting to do so at the cost of his country.

Sorry Woodfoot. Your thread had great potential.

The MSM only gives you part of the story. They don't tell you that Bush, past presidents, Congress, and both the republiCONS and democRATS front for an elite cabal working to establish a "new world order" and global government. The MSM always reports within the phony left/right, republican democrat worldview. Just like the democrats, they say that Bush lied about the WMDs and Iraq, and they denounce Bush as a "warmonger." But it is all rhetoric. The Democrats (ie, the elected officials) actually SUPPORT Bush's agenda in regards to 9/11, the war on terrorism, and the war in Iraq. They have voted in support of his policies. They haven't called for Bush's impeachment or seriously worked to pull our troops out of Iraq.

The MSM keeps America in the grip of the controlled two party system. The MSM says Bush is bad, but they would have you believe the democrats will make things better. In reality, the democrats are merely the opposite side of the same coin. They are controlled by the elite just like the republicans. The MSM pretends to oppose Bush with this and similar rhetoric, but they went along with the lies that got us into the war in Iraq and they continue to support the U.S. government's wars in Iraq and Afganistan and the totally bogus 9/11 official story. The MSM is really a 4th arm of the government.
