I pulled a barrel out of my wakeboard pretty much the 2nd time I ever took it out. I just moved the binding and went on with my business as usual. I have grown beyond what this board can do and I just bought a new wakeboard and I'm about to sell this one... Just for peice of mind for a buyer I would like to fill the crack with something. I was thinking just getting a tube of epoxy or resin or something and filling it up... I'm not trying to replace the barrel... I just don't want a hole in it when I sell it.

suggestions???

Warranty? I've known people that got a new board when the inserts pulled out.

New board > Old board with spackle in it's hole.

what is the board made of? I dont know much about wakeboards, but when my surf board got a nasty ding, the local surf shops sell a fiberglass patch/filler kit.

this is a '99 model, I've heard of CWB being generous... but I doubt they are that generous

you want "kitty hair" or the like. it's fiberglass resin with small fiber pieces mixed in to make a sort of paste. you can buy it at marine shops or any place that sells lots of fiberglass supplies (IE: not lowes, home depot, advanced auto, autozone, etc.)

^ What scrager said would work fine. You can probably get it from West Marine on Capital Blvd.

Honestly, I think some regular old spackle for drywall or some wood putty from Lowes would work fine. That board isn't built like a surfboard (i.e. a foam core with a glass coating) so I don't think a fiberglass repair kit is a necessity; although it would probably bond fine to it.

spackle would disolve in water

i didn't think about this being foam core. you may want to get an epoxy paste mix rather than fiberglass resin mix as the fiberglass resin can melt some foams.

It isn't a foam core. It is wood I think.

get some finely cut fiberglass, mix it into some epoxy, and fill it in. While you're at it why not just stick the barrel back in?

b/c the barrel was lost in the water when the binding pulled out... I think... either that or it was tossed into the boat and it was before I had my own boat...

this is just a little hole... I don't want to have to buy a whole bunch of stuff...
