it's argued that the word for wine in the Bible directly means "fermented" wine. there is a difference, believe it or not.

i was talking about drugs, including weed. all of them in some way hinder a person's capacity to think and wisely make decisions. inevitably, this hurts people. someone gets offended, physically or emotionally hurt, and people doing drugs including marijuana put themselves in positions where they are more apt to use harder drugs. no, i don't know every fact about weed, and i don't need to. i know just enough to realize that it won't help me in any way, and my own personal convictions tell me i'm right. you can't tell me you're wanting to use weed and mushrooms and VARIOUS other plants in any kind of healthy or beneficial way except to escape your own problems for a couple of hours.

There isn't a Christian argument against smoking weed. Believe it or not, not every law in existence relies exclusively on a religious rationale. Whatever arguments exist against smoking marijuana, scant few are based primarily on religion.
