someone just called my office asking why we havent employed our hurricane controlling/countermeasures against katrina, asserting to us that there was indeed a device that could DIVERT or even CONTROL a storm such as Katrina....hilarious 8/31/2005 11:05:27 AM |

Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.8/31/2005 11:10:37 AM |

Quote : | " The military has had about twenty years to work on weather warfare methods, which it euphemistically calls weather modification. For example, rainmaking technology was taken for a few test rides in Vietnam. The U.S. Department of Defense sampled lightning and hurricane manipulation studies in Project Skyfire and Project Stormfury. And they looked at some complicated technologies that would give big effects. Angels Don't Play This HAARP cites an expert who says the military studied both lasers and chemicals which they figured could damage the ozone layer over an enemy. Looking at ways to cause earthquakes, as well as to detect them, was part of the project named Prime Argus, decades ago. The money for that came from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA, now under the acronym ARPA.) In 1994 the Air Force revealed its Spacecast 2020 master plan which includes weather control. Scientists have experimented with weather control since the 1940's, but Spacecast 2020 noted that "using environmental modification techniques to destroy, damage or injure another state are prohibited." Having said that, the Air Force claimed that advances in technology "compels a reexamination of this sensitive and potentially risky topic." " |

DARPA does some crazy incredible shit. They're basically responsible for Stealth technology and the internet, among other things,
but i can pretty much guarentee you that they can't control a hurricane. they might TRY
but its not possible at this point 8/31/2005 2:45:02 PM |

for those who arent aware, DARPA is the Defense Advanced Research Project Agency, something like the DoD's version of Skunkworks. Their mission objective from inception has been to disallow technological suprise, and as of recently, to create it for opponents. Basically, they work on technology we might need or forsee a requirement for in the 10-20 year and beyond range... 8/31/2005 3:19:29 PM |
