I dont know if Quark fits into your definition of a supporting character, but if so he wins hands down, and 2nd place would be Q 8/31/2005 2:38:05 PM |

ok, my definition of "supporting character" is a character that is not listed in the main credits during the show introduction, but are listed as "guest stars"
and i tend to think that recurring characters are better candidates for being your favorite, since they have a better developed "character"
so yeah, your favorite recurring supporting trek character, who is not listed in the show's main credits every week. 8/31/2005 3:35:51 PM |

Original Series: Harcord Vinton Mudd and Yeoman Rand
TNG: Lursa & B'Etor & I have to admit to a fondness for Q's antics (post season 1 that is). Have to love that line: "Is there a John Luck Pickerd (phonetic) here?" in a southern drawl. Gowron is another. He has some of the best lines in TNG: "impudent wretch" and "You will die: slowly."
DS9: Garak
Voyager: Didn't bother

I should have added Mr. Holm (sp?), Roxanna Troy's attendant and Spot, Data's cat.
In the original series, the expendables were known as "the red shirts"; those security guys whose life span was denoted in minutes - often before the first commercial. Has there ever been a Star Fleet security guard who hasn't had his a$$ kicked; or been vaporized; fried; eaten; exsanguinated; poisoned or what have you? 9/1/2005 7:44:49 PM |

TOS: Mudd Next Generation: Barclay, with Lore coming in a distant second DS9: Martok, Garak (although he became a regular, not a supporting character), Weyoun Voyager: frankly i stopped watching after 3 seasons, so i probably missed a lot of characters 9/1/2005 9:09:28 PM |

On DS9 his recurring characters were Weyoun and Brunt. On Ent his recurring character was Thy'lek Shran.
On DS9 he's also played Tiron (he hired Quark to get hot naked photos of Kira), Mirror Brunt, and Kevin Mulkahey (the cop in Far Beyond the Stars).
On Voyager he played Penk (he's the guy that made 7 of 9 fight The Rock).
And on Enterprise he played Krem, one of the four Ferengi that boarded the ship.
He was the voice of The Question on Justice League Unlimited, he plays Dr. Kevin Burkhoff on The 4400, and he auditioned for Riker on TNG.
