So i bought a slim PS2 recently to replace my old one, and we put it downstairs so we could use it on the samsung widescreen HDTV
when i got a ps2 remote for my old one, i would access the display menu hitting the display button and within there you could disable the parental control, change audio and video settings, and all that good stuff
well i bought a brand new remote for my new one, go to the display options to switch things, and none of it will budge
it wont let me turn on progressive scan it wont let me change the screen from 4:3 and it wont let me disable the parental control
i click on them to set the option and it acts like its set in stone
what the hell is going on? if someone knows how to solve this please let me know, for some reason these options are locked and i dont know how to fix it

Yeah same thing here. Parental control is seemingly set in stone. I have to change it every time i watch a movie, and it's getting old. 9/6/2005 7:52:13 PM |

Mine is SCPH-70012 as well. Anyways, I figured it out. When you start the movie, hit stop on your remote twice to clear the resume or something, then you can go from there to change the parental control options and whatnot. For some reason they aren't available to be changed during playback. 9/8/2005 8:58:36 PM |
