Windows users can synchronize contacts and and calendars to their iPod from Outlook and Outlook express
Smart shuffle pref has been added that controls how often you hear songs by the same artist or album
Parental controls have been added, so kids can't download explicit songs
The iPhone:

Jobs unveiled the ROKR
"The ROKR can only hold about 100 songs, according to Jobs. "The way we think of this phone is, it's really an iPod shuffle on your phone," he explained. Both devices can shuffle, both can autofill, neither has a click wheel -- but the phone has a display."
Phone will pause the music when there's an incoming call
Basically a shuffle with a display (and a cellphone, ha ha!)

Motorola built and designed the phone. All Apple did was let them use the iTunes DRM to play iTMS songs.

How unexciting. Hell, this spring Dell is supposed to release their X51 which is the X50v in a cell phone. More power, more storage, and better video/graphics for probably about the same price (given Apple's pricing history).

I hope the current promotion of getting a free mini with a Mac purchase will be extended to the iPod nanos. Even if it's just a $179 rebate and not the full price of the nano.

1 - iPod nano is a lot cooler than iPod mini. Flash drives, no problem with exercise or dropping, better battery, smaller, lighter, color screen.
2 - But they dropped the capacity and kept the price the same. Minis were 4gb and 6gb for $200 and $250. Nanos are 2gb and 4gb for $200 and $250.


iTunes 5's interface is all kinds of weird. This is freaking me out.

I never really bought into all the hype surrounding the iPhone. Soooo, it's a phone that can play a little music. And I'm gonna listen to music on it so much that when a call comes in, I've worn out the battery...
Never seemed like two things that I really need to have integrated together.

AKA they made the shuffle actually work rather then picking 3 albums and shuffling them together with one or two outside songs

Also, I'd rather have the old mini for the price of a shuffle, than an improved shuffle for the price of a mini
