I am having a dlink 650 wireless notebook adapter and it gets heated up pretty quickly for the last couple of weeks like every 15 mins, and I cant even think of using xwin32. I am thinking of buying a wireless notebook adapter either a netgear 54g, or linksys wpc54g. Which one is better?

it is mostly a voltage issue
maybe the card is designed to work at a lower voltage and your laptop doesn't support the newer low voltage cards. 9/8/2005 12:07:08 AM |

I got it in December of 2k4. It used to work well, but got heated up occasionally and bogged down my computer rendering unusable to the point where I had to remove the card from the pcmcia slot and keep it out for a couple of minutes to let it kool. But now it has gone worse, it heats up every 10 mins or so. 9/8/2005 12:10:30 AM |
