I got a new laptop screen in place of the one I broke. LCD for HP ZE4900-ZE5600 laptop.
Problem: I can only get 1024x768 as my max resolution when the box says it can get up to 1280x1024. I tried the original drivers CD with the video driver and it didn't up the resolution capability.
Any help?
Also... the instructions said something worded very strangely about getting a floppy disk with the EEPROM from the system utilities disk. What is that? 9/9/2005 9:46:41 AM |

No.
I installed the screen. I bought the screen. The specs are correct and so is the model number. 9/9/2005 10:23:55 AM |

what resolution could you run with the old screen? could be that the video hardware and driver don't support the resolution of the new screen? 9/9/2005 11:15:39 AM |

Have you tried unchecking that box that says "Show only supported resolutions" in the "Properties" button? 9/9/2005 1:02:39 PM |
