I just recently upgraded to windows media player 10(yes I know its been out forever). I like the sorting features a lot and the CD ripping software (tags and everything) it was easy and I didn't have to search for any other programs to do all this...

however, when I leave it running the power standby feature won't activate and my monitors stay on all the time. I don't use a screen saver I just have them set to goto standby after 10minutes.

what am I overlooking?

Tools > Options

Check "Allow screen saver during playback"

Just turn it off the next time you go to watch movies on it.

You can just hit "Alt" and it pops up.
