They were pretty good when they opened for Tonic on campus back in '01.

Did they ever put anything out after Vertigo?

Only crap.

Magazine was their last decent album, and most of my friends prefer the Licorice Tea Demos.

i think they're more well known for their live shows. supposedly this show in charleston is with a symphony orchestra. i saw one of their new years eve shows: they had a whole string section, one of the band members played a dobro, and they had a bunch of guest appearences.

^^I saw one of those shows for my birthday a few years ago, and watched a couple of videos from various years of Dock st.

Definitely enjoyable. I especially loved it when they did a completely acoustic Down Where She Lies in the middle of a show one time.

eh, magazine really turned me off from them.

I really liked LTD and Buzz...and back in the day I even had a copy of their old irish stuff...but i think they dropped the ball with magazine and never really picked it up again.

i used to see them all the time back in high school (96,97,98)...they would play every couple months or so where i lived. i always enjoyed them.

i saw them in raleigh when i was in school (maybe around 00 - 01) and i thought their performance level had dropped a bit (or maybe it was because i didnt like a lot of their newer stuff).

anyways...i still listen to LTD and Buzz every now and again...but i rarely listen to magazine. i never bothered buying any of their other stuff.

^^ i completely agree with that

i used to see them i high school quite a bit too (be here now in asheville, talk about old school) and i loved buzz and especially licorice tea demos (their live shows were a lot of fun)

magazine was such a totally different sound and i personally didn't like it, but i would still go see them in raleigh when they came around (the brewery was so conveniently located)

i had completely forgotten about them until recently, i was at a used cd store and randomly bought between the dim and the dark -- it's not bad
