anybody know how old the data for google maps/earth (road, satellite, amenities) and/or how often new information is added?

started to find some answers...
- sounds like most of the google earth data is 1-2 years old, with a recent update to the primary database
- apparently raleigh was done june 2002-april 2004

one more question though - is this the same info feeding google maps?

Yeah, the image showing my house in Durham also shows my previous car which died about 3 years ago, so I'd like to know when new info is added too.
