one team is all sisters
one team is a guy and his 3 son-in-laws
etc..etc..

The thing about Amazing Race and Survivor too, to an extent, is that it gets old really fast. Once you've seen one season you've pretty much seen them all.

I disagree. The Amazing Race doesn't get old for me & is easily the best reality TV show. Survivor is kinda getting old ya, but The Amazing Race isn't because they are continuously going to new places & doing all these different things. It also is stressful 24/7 unlike survivor, which just has a few challenges. The last season was really exciting & I can't wait for this one to start.

I like the idea of a family edition, but ya, I do worry about involving kids in this.

in the AR, even the travelling is hard on adults. long flights, sleeping at the airports, jet lag, etc etc etc. i can't imagine some 6 yr old kid hanging in there. it's just not healthy.

The Brittney Rogers chick was Miss Louisiana in 2003.

She also won a Fear Factor episode. I really didn't think she looked like anything THAT special. Guess she cleans up good.

its not very good this season, too many people and they have arranged transportation everywhere. The only two teams I like are the Linz and the Bransens.

Yeah, there aren't any opportunities to really get ahead like there were in seasons past besides the little missions. I do like that they have at least to some extent gotten rid of the "bunch ups". In years past whenever someone would gain a lead, they would always run into a bus or a flight that would make them wait for hours until pretty much everyone caught up.

Also it pisses me off that they have all these old out of shape people. I mean, if you knew that you were gonna be on this show, wouldnt you excersize and get in shape some to get ready? The whole thing is basically based on how fast you can do the roadblocks and detours and you see a grown man can't even carry 1/4 of a stretcher.

Ya, I agree. I really dislike doing a US only one though. Part of what made the AR fun to watch was all the cool places they went. And the whole idea of lets just have fun with our kids (for some teams) is not cool. And damn the Greek mother is an annoying bitch. I really though previous AR's were very good, but I'd have to say this is the worst season yet.

They probably didn't go overseas b/c of the children and the risk of contracting some type of disease or something... who knows..
I like the idea of the big family but I wish they would have done it with just older people (over 18) and gone international...

The one thing I like about this one is that there are so many places I recognize and have been to so it kinda makes it cool to see them there.. . Like in Lancaster, PA and Charleston, SC...

Oh, I understand the reasons for not going overseas (not just disease, but legalities, inapproriate behaviour, kidnapping, etc.), I just think it's better going to new places. I totally agree that a family edition would be much with 18 & over going international.

I have been to Hattiesburg, & thought it was a decent city. Not a ton of places to see, but a trailor park? Go to Brett Favre's home or something.

Pretty ironic the family that lives in that area also got eliminated there, b/c dad was real cocky thinking he knew everything about LA and MI.

Shit I guess they probably were able to go home that afternoon, instead of hopping on a flight or anything.

Tonights double episode was pretty good, although I hate the Weavers, they bad mouth every team and then when the other teams say shit back they get all weepy. They also religion for their convenience yet when they claim to be Christian they are bad mouthing other teams, who cares if other people cuss get over yourself

they are good for ratings since they are good antagonists. I would not be shocked to see them win because of the way Phil coddles them. I think if that happens it will be a bigger controversy then Uchenna and Joyce winning last season.
