god the catalyst control center sucks so much balls its not even funny. It decided to start dumping clock/memory speed BEFORE upping the fan RPM's on the heatsink.

I use ATItool now which gives me dynamic fan control. I have it setup so whenever BF2 is launched, it bumps up my core/mem speeds and fan goes to 100%.

that's not a bad idea Maugan. i had used ATItool for Doom3 just to bump the clock speed and RAM up on the vid card. i didnt know u could adjust the fan speed settings through it. is it easy or hidden somewhere in the controls. i support the hatred of the catalyst control center.

I only use the drivers since the Catalyst mess requires .Net. Net effect - no noticible improvement over the driver and at a cost of about 40MB of memory.

brian: you have to open up the "settings" button. Fan Control is in there somewhere.
