Stewart comes off like every liberal douchebag; he has no clue on how the real world operates.

Speaking of entertainment, did anyone else see the Hitchens vs. Galloway debate?

Here's a link for those who missed it: http://www.booktv.org/General/index.asp?segID=6145&schedID=377

Stewart was surprisingly douchey and close-minded in that episode. I saw it on TV. Id never seen him take such a partisan stance before.

Page 1.
On which page of the liberal rulebook does it say that our rulebook tells us to say liberals have no clue how the real world operates?
Follow up question, on which page of the liberal rulebook does it say liberals should avoid clues about how the real world operates?

John Stewart is spreading propaganda through his "fake" news. Nothing to do with comedy anymore, stopped being about that in 2002.

he is a good comedian

but theres a reason he's not a newscaster or journalist

and that he has a show on COMEDY central

cause he's a comedian

not a journalist

^^who gives a fuck? It's a comedy show.

Quote :

that's weird, given that everyone on the show is a comedian, the writers are comedic writers, and the audience is laughing most of the show.

1. his show is funny to liberals. its a comedy.

2. its not news, its satire

If fake news is propaganda, what do you call it when bush pays reporters to back NCLB and admits to distrubiting fake news to local tv stations with scripts and fake reporters?

But yea...its travesty when a comedian does new commentary on "comedy central". clearly an outrage.

HOW DARE HE SPREAD HIS PROPAGANDA

ive seen him talk about the legality of that practice. he admitted to doing it, and claimed it was indeed legal. he stated he does this so that he can overide the "filter" normal media goes thru.

its sad how most americans dont know shit about how the admin controls the media. im sure many others know what im talking about if you want proof -- i dont feel like googling it for you.

the admin controls the media to an extent and thats it

theres tons of biased coverage by BOTH sides...tons of stories praising bush, tons of stories bashing him...not quite the whole "the admin controls the (entire) media"

"To be sure, Stewart’s viewers are much younger and much more heavily male than his late-night competitors’. But they are also wealthier and better educated: 30 percent have annual household incomes above $75,000, compared with only 25 percent of Letterman’s and Leno’s viewers. Some 39 percent of The Daily Show’s viewers have college degrees, compared with only 29 percent of Letterman’s and 27 percent of Leno’s. In a perhaps not unrelated finding Annenberg discovered that Stewart’s audience is also more politically aware: 46 percent of Daily Show watchers follow politics “most of the time,” versus 38 percent of Letterman watchers and 39 percent of Leno watchers. And when the researchers asked respondents six questions about contemporary politics, Stewart viewers on average answered 60 percent of them correctly; Leno and Letterman viewers on average answered only 49 percent correctly."

according to that ad, there were no jokes about the war in iraq on the daily show...i find that hard to believe

also the income is subjective as can be...simple survey...who knows if some 18 year olds were like "yeah, i make $100,000 a year"

also this survey doesnt seem to consider the fact that leno and letterman are on network tv, ie free tv...if you have an antenna you can get those shows...you have to pay for cable to get the daily show...so that suggests that more people can watch leno or letterman and only people who can afford cable tv can watch stewart, which would suggest a higher income

survey is weird though...interesting but odd
