wtf are they thinking. There's 0 reason for this. the only way to stop this is by going to donotcall.gov and registering the number and then half of them don't even abide by it.
So much for anyone of you guys who uses a cell phone for home. Hope you like them eating up your minutes. 9/26/2005 10:11:33 AM |

RTFA.
Sigh, we got an interoffice memo from Nextel saying that we had 30 days until this happened. I personally don't care and it's rare i get a call on my office phone. This concerned me because every call i get would be from a telemarketer or "political backer" or "fundraiser".
You know the crap that can call you on the do not call list.
Privacy blocker prevents 99% of that, but there are still some that come through. It's not worth the $75 to file a lawsuit against a company and the time to find out who they are. At least not to me.
I'll check where she got that.

you could write a script, but it also requires an email confirmation. a little more complicated, but still possible to write a script to do so. i don't have time to do it right now, or i would look into it. 9/26/2005 12:22:53 PM |

I'M PRETTY SURE
THAT ITS A BAD IDEA
TO FUCK WITH A GOV. WEBPAGE
AND I'M ALSO PRETTY SURE
THAT IT WOULD BE PRETTY EASY
FOR THEM TO IDENTIFY YOUR SHENANIGANS
AND I'M PRETTY SURE
THAT THEY WOULDN'T BE AMUSED 9/26/2005 1:27:45 PM |

IM PRETTY SURE AMERICA WOULD BE GRATEFUL IF EVERY SINGLE NUMBER POSSIBLE WAS ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST
Seriously. Everyone should be on the list by default unless you sign up for a "Call Me" list. Who wants telemarketer calls?

10. Can I register my cell phone on the National Do Not Call Registry?
Yes, you may place your personal cell phone number on the National Do Not Call Registry. The registry has accepted cell phone numbers since it opened for registrations in June 2003. There is no deadline to register a home or cell phone number on the Registry.
You may have received an email telling you that your cell phone is about to be assaulted by telemarketing calls as a result of a new cell phone number database; however, that is not the case. FCC regulations prohibit telemarketers from using automated dialers to call cell phone numbers. Automated dialers are standard in the industry, so most telemarketers don’t call consumers on their cell phones without their consent." |
