This is my 2000 Silvy Z71, I picked it up this past May when I came across it at Smithfield Chevrolet. Haven't had any problems with it and still loving it. Although I am looking for a new exhaust setup, haven't decided on one yet.

** Didn't notice that I spelled grabbed wrong until I posted, hah.

i just had majestic straight pipe mine, but i came out the rear quarter panel at a 45 degree angle with the slant tips sideways, paraleel to the fender, ill post some pics soon, i havent seen any trucks like that around here and it looks pretty good, a lot better than your straight out the back or 90 degree side exit options

btw: that 5.3 sounds nasty with straight pipes, although it has an annoying woodpecker sound at around 2000 rpm, between the deep rumble at idle and the top end split your eardrums scream at 6500. surprisingly, it is quieter inside with the windows up than with a flowmaster 40 series

I really like those trucks...and really hate the loud ass exhaust everybody seems to puts on them. It's an automatic designed to do work, not a muscle car.

^look at the other pics, the window is rolled down in one of them and just looks like it isnt tinted..in the driver side pic you can see the other sides windows a little bit and theyre tinted

Yea, I just noticed that the pics I posted were taken at different times. My bad, the first pic was taken before the window's were tinted, as you can see the windows are rolled up. The second pic is taken after the windows are tinted. As for the current exhaust, as soon as I bought the truck I took it to Bob's behind Walmart to run true duals. Now I'm just tired of seeing the tips, it is loud but I don't mind it. I'm thinking about hacking off the whole setup under the truck in the middle about where the two doors join and just putting a small hidden turn down on each pipe coming from the cats. Just an idea, not sure what I'm going to do yet. I don't want to go with a Flowmaster as far as mufflers, I just don't like the cab resonance/drone.

Taylor, yea bro, back as usual. I started back last semester and still working on my degree.

Oh yea and optimus, as far as the superchargers go, they do make several kits. One of the nicer kits, from what I have determined from reading, is the Whipple supercharger kit. A buddy of mine is running that kit on his stock 5.3 single cab with 145,000 miles on it, and is reliable as the first day he got it. I believe he was running 12's at Rockingham this past summer, but don't hold me to it.

Not bad... I had my whole system ran from each cat straight out with tips for 200... I thought it was fair and didn't mind paying it, as I waited about 2 hours for him to make all the bends around the spare tire and such. I just want something that has less restriction with out having to take off the cats. Now I just gotta worry about finding someone to inspect the truck with my windows. But then again, it is good ole' Johnston County, there's gotta be some old grease monkey that would pass it with an extra 10$ lol : )
