whenever I open a movie (in Windows Media or Divx Player), my videocard (nvidia geForce 6800 gt) wants to play the movie in the player on one screen and full screen on the other monitor. It causes my movies to be really jumpy.

I can't figure out how to fix this. I played with the options and googled.

ive got a 6800

video will play on your primary mon.

framerate will not be effected, the card dedicates just as much power to mon 1 as it would mon 2

sounds like your moniter itself is fucked..maybe your refresh rate...maybe drivers

Right click on the screen, then go to NVIDIA display, next just click on one of the monitors.

On the menu to the left select "full screen video" then under full screen video controls, change the options from "auto-select" to "disable".
