Because if someone can respond in 1 minute with their personal experience, it will save me the 5-10 minutes of looking all their numbers up and calling them. 10/1/2005 4:51:23 PM |

..And the 20 some odd minutes you waited for a response would've been saved if you just took the 5-10 mins to call each one 10/1/2005 4:52:35 PM |

yeah, really. because you've sure got quite a high chance of someone chiming in with their price comparisons of grand cherokee pads from each place at any time, much less within a few minutes. 10/1/2005 4:58:01 PM |

Flip a coin. Hell, even NAPA is cheaper every now and then.
Do some conclusive market research yourself. As a matter of fact, that's what I happen to be doing right now. MY OWN RESEARCH ON PARTS COSTS.
Of course, I know how to drive a computer, so it ain't that hard. You will probably have to break down and call NAPA though, as I don't think that they have a web-based application. 10/1/2005 5:46:48 PM |

If you are looking at "lifetime" brake pads in the first place, then just get the cheapest and be done with it. 10/2/2005 12:11:04 AM |

that lifetime warranty is often a "limited" lifetime warranty.
like, if it disintegrates or some crazy shit that never happens, you get a free replacement. if it wears out, well, no shit...that's what brake pads do. i know at advance, the only pads with a real "lifetime" warranty are the Bendix pads, and i think they will replace them once.
i've heard that zone will no shit replace them for free when they wear out, but i don't know for sure. 10/2/2005 12:14:24 AM |

When people call me asking for lifetime pads, I laugh in their face. They say, "Advance has them," and I laugh even harder.
People are such dipshits. 10/2/2005 3:07:23 PM |
