ok, so i used to be a huge car audio guy...3 years ago.
I just got a GMC Yukon and need some suggestions. Ive already decided that I am going to get a cd player, a component set in teh front, and prolly 6x9's in teh rear doors. I will do a sub later.
I'm dead set on the Eclipse 8455. I've also always had JL amps and love them. I'm thinking the JL 450/4. My question is, what speakers do i need to get? I had Diamond Audio's before and they are amazing. However people always tell me that polk, boston acoustics, alpine, etc are better. What do you guys reccomend...anyone got a system they think i should hear??

what year yukon is it and does it have the bose system? I would go with the Focal speakers and an audison amp if you want a really clean system.

you can never recomend a good pair of speakers considering poelpe have different tatse in musicand different opiions on what sounds "good". bes tthing to do is go look around some shops demo a bunh of componnets and see what you like.

What kind of Yukon has 6x9s in the rear doors? You might want to double check that. And dont even thing about cutting the door to make em fit. That would look bad and wouldnt be worth the trouble.

if u like jl then run componet. i used to have the xr series seprates in the front, vr 6x9 in the rear and 13w7 in the trunk. very clean and very solid sound.
