well winter is coming.. so no more riding of the bike.. i might be trading it for a turbo-charged and built lil crx.

it has z6 pistons which should take the comp. down to 8.5ish si tranny, and the bottem end has been re-bearinged and plasti-gauged for clearance which is within specs. the car is going to be running 10psi for a 14b.. the only thing he still needs to install is a turboedit so he can get it dialed in correctly and make it run reliable.

he also had spare parts that go with the car.. i get picts tomorrow. it seems like a decent deal i mean i always wanted a lil turbo charged car and this one seems not to be riced out. he said when tuned it should run low 14's to high 13's in the quarter..

im not looking for anything fast, just for something that adds a little more juice to my daily commute.

it would be pretty much a straight up trade for my bike.. what do you guys think?

i can always buy another bike next summer if i feel the need.


please dont flame, i love little non-riced out crx's the engine is the sohc engine that came stock with this model btw.

a 14b is a very small turbo that only comes on very old cars (galant vr4's and 1g dsm's). check for shaft play and leaks. I bet if you shotpeened or replaced those rods it would handle a much bigger turbo. Also, with a honda, crome and uberdata are the way to go, but really with such a minor setup, all you'd need is an safc

yep im looking for something fun, im probably going to keep my celica so it could be a fun little car to build up over the summer if need be . what's crome and the obd thing? engine management systems?

why is sohc a decent setup i've been reading on boards and guys get pretty good numbers with pretty conservative setups lol. the engine is so small and simple i think that helps out too.

i got some vids of a crx doing 12's, killing a new 2005 stang gt (which did a 14). It was such a piece of shit too. Pretty much everything inside ripped out and some windows replaced with plastic sheets and duct tape. the little crx could have gone faster if the driver shifted correctly. He kept gettin it stuck in 1st or 2nd.
