Ugh. The original "The Fog" was mediocre at best (though I do like John Carpenter's work).
The whole remake thing doesn't bode well IMO. Though it has been 20+ years since I've seen the original, I won't be seeing this rendition. 10/9/2005 5:10:04 PM |

Just got back from seeing this. Allthough the people in the place wouldnt shut the hell up, the movie for the most part blew. It was too predictable like I thought it would be. Save your money and time on this one. 10/16/2005 1:09:05 AM |

Let me guess how it starts out: Some fishermen are out doing their work when there is a storm or something in the horizon. Slowly some fog starts coming over the water and they are all like "Oh it's just fog. Kind of strange for this kind of year but we have seen it before." So then some warning light goes off or the radar cuts out or something and they start hearing weird noises. Then a pirate ship or something comes out of the fog and it cuts to a zoomed out shot and we hear the fishermen screaming. Then it goes to the "Quiet town on the sea" and Tom Welling wakes up after having a nightmare about one of his parents dying. That sounds like a pretty typical modern day horror film opening. 10/16/2005 8:05:53 PM |

it has all of those elements, but not in the specific ways you stated. made me laugh none the less.
movie was overall too predictable and too inconsistant with who got killed in my opinion. id maybe rent it, but not worth a trip to the movies methinks. 10/16/2005 9:41:01 PM |
