i used isopropyl (sp?) alcohol wipes, the kind you get at a drugstore for injections, and it worked out real well. it tends to streak, so i used a microfiber cloth to polish them off. 10/17/2005 10:51:13 AM |

Acetone will eat the antiglare layer off an LCD. If you use it highly diluted it would take forever but its still possible. I know because i have stripped an LCD of the antiglare layer using none other then Acetone and time.
If you do ruin your panel though, ill take it off your hands for cheap i need another polarizer.10/17/2005 1:20:24 PM |

I use a damp cloth... it's a bitch to get it to dry streak-free sometimes, but it's nice to know that I'm not potentially damaging anything 10/17/2005 1:23:44 PM |

you could always pick up the LCD screen wipes at any computer/electronics store. But yeah, that's probably a waste of money even though you know it SHOULD be safe. 10/17/2005 1:35:38 PM |

buy a bottle of isopropyl alcohol for <$1, mix 1/4 iso w/ 3/4 water and use a non-abrasive towel.
works like a charm. 10/17/2005 3:28:50 PM |
