Original engine, changed from an automatic to M6 at around 100K, I've put 30K on it so far this year (got it the first week of jan.) I guess GM didn't fuck up too bad, although this thing squeaks like crazy
That is all.

haha, i was waiting for that comment.... I was on 64 west of asheboro and behind traffic, I was hoping I'd have made it to I85 by the time I got to 180K so I could have been in triple digits

i guess i'm the only one on this board who considers 200k on any car as low mileage. 10/20/2005 1:52:01 AM |

my first car ever was my moms 90 civic lx. I drove it for about 4 years, then we sold it. It had 270k miles on it when we sold it 4 years ago. It is still running and is a daily driver for the person we sold it too. I gotta ask how many miles are on it now next time im back that way. 10/20/2005 2:29:21 AM |

Hey man, how hard was it to switch from an A4 to M6? I was thinking about doing this swap myself on the Z28. What price/time did it cost? Just curious. 10/20/2005 7:39:50 AM |

I'd imagine much easier than on a C5 w/ a rear transaxle. 10/20/2005 8:22:22 AM |

Not too hard on a C5 and probably cheaper on a Z28. On a corvette since the tranny is in the rear you have to also replace the torque tube also (its a long tube that a driveshaft like shaft goes thru, it connects the rear of the engine block to the tranny incase you didn't know). Everything is pretty much bolt-on though, just get the right tranny, flywheel, clutch, pedals, master/slave cylinders and hoses and its not too bad of a job. The tranny being in the rear probably makes it easier on a corvette if you dont have the right tools since its easier to deal with the weight (or was for me anyways). Hmm, thats about it10/20/2005 12:17:39 PM |

I swapped my z28 to M6, the hardest part is swapping out the pedals and cutting the hole in the floor, so its not that hard. you can get most of the parts from junkyards or camaroz28.com in the for sale section 10/20/2005 12:36:31 PM |
