I noticed on my DVR box from Time Warner (the digital cable recorder box), there is a USB port on the front of the box. Does anybody know what this is used for??? Can I hook up a PC to the DVR via this USB port and transfer recorded television onto the PC???? 10/23/2005 1:25:37 AM |

short answer: it is there for future use...the firmware doesn't support it. 10/23/2005 1:29:33 AM |

hell i tried hooking the HD up in my computer and couldnt get it to work
time warner charged me for my dvr box cause it wouldnt power on
so i ripped that fucker apart
i read all about the file systems, its something like tvfs/mmfs or some shit i cant remember. but i could never get it mounted under any OS so i just sold it
i dont think theres any way to transfer the stuff unless you are one leet mofo, or unless someone has figured it out and posted a guide on the internet 10/23/2005 2:50:26 PM |
