you need the Motorola Mobile Phone Tools...they charge like $50-60 for it but you can find it through other channels

yea installing the tools for my phone took a while. I found a website that helped a lot. My phone is a v400 but it think that the same instructions will work for the v600. http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=328182

I'm thinking the cord is fucked up or something. keeps installing as USB DATA CABLE(?)

i checked out the device instance id, and the vendor id comes up at 0df7 (Mobile Action Technology)

and the product id didnt come up, but it seems like they only sell adapters

so the computer is recognizing my cord now, but not my phone
