fuckin stupid that when your car comes with 275s or some shit like that, you put 345s on them.

those tires on the mustang look horribly out of place, and needless to say, the engine is the limiting factor there, nor the tires.

same with an SL500. 325s on it are stupid. now if it was an SL55 AMG or an SL600, that would make sense.

^they are actually quite functional because those are the driven wheels on mustangs and considering how easy it is to lite up the stock wheels in these pony cars, 305+ might put the power the ground. engine is definetly not a limiting factor.

the fact is that mustangs, sn-95s in particular have some of the worst traction out of the box, period. any way to put more rubber on the road helps.

well being that the car has a cog driven procharger & a blow off valve... i doubt its slow

very true... short wheelbase non 4 link etc. really fucks them but they're about the lightest car you can get some serious power in (once you strip all the bull shit out)

my bad he changed his setup

351W 4bolt 408, TFS R box intake, TFS R heads turbonetics T 76, T 56 1995 cobra

i think the hp & tq numbers are in the 800s the turbo is good for 950 and that motor should easily be able to take all that on pump gas probably right around 14 psi

^ hey asshat... most superchargers that carry enough psi to require a blow off valve make a fuck ton of power. On a supercharger bovs aren't to keep turbine speed up its to prevent the pressure surge when the throttle is re-opened that causes detonation (this is an afterthought benefit for most turbo systems but not the primary).

notice big blower.. cog drive (doesn't let super charger slip therefor causes major pressure surges)
& a bov to copensate for that

notice typical ribbed belt & smaller blower & NO BOV

so... when making fun of something make sure you have some idea of what you are talking about first

a bov on FI is no big deal

they all benefit no matter the psi

what i'm saying is it is not common practice and on a centrifugaly supercharged car it is indicative of big power. on a serpantine belt driven supercharger the only thing it does is prolong belt life. Cog drive is the only one it does anything significant on it.

damn i hate people who think they're cool cause they purchased a bov to make their car go Whoosh

I think you're taking his post the wrong way. i think he was just genuinly surprised it had one since it is not common practice. i'm not reading that has an asshat comment.

actually I was makin' fun of it haha

anyways, i figure any proper centrif-supercharged setup would have a blow off system (since there's piping to work with and all) to keep from boost spiking

yeah turbo rotaries do real well when the boost surges... except when they detonate once, shit an apex seal, then grind away at the rotor housing until they're shut down... truly there is no need for a BOV in any application

what are you talking about? I clearly said they all benefit from blow off systems. No where did I say that blow off systems are useless.

communication breakdown, then

"no big deal... they all benefit no matter the PSI" I took as meaning "surging is good lol"
