Maybe it was because the video couldn't capture it... But it seems to me a train horn should be MUCH louder than that. They can be heard for a good mile or so, if not more, and that one didn't seem to be freaking people out enough.

I would love to see a fully capable train horn set up on a car though... it would be hilarious.

guy passed me yesterday in a suburban with one of these set ups.....

had a chrome aftermarket front bumper, truck nuts , and a ferrari sticker under the GMC badge .....also was sporting several "bullet holes" and of course the hornblasters.com sticker

AHHHHHHHH HAHAH I used to do that shit all the time to people when driving the Hummer, It had train horns that were $800 (so I was told). They were UNBELIEVABLY LOUD! Sounded a lot like the horns in the video. Daaaaaaaaamn I miss doing that to people.

well, i said i was going to upgrade and i did. these are train horn copies. not quite as loud as real train horns but definitely 2nd closest. ridiculously loud. you can see your pants vibrate if standing next to the truck when horns are blown. i'm glad i went with a 5 gal. tank 'cause anything smaller just wouldn't cut it. these horns will drain the tank in appox. 10 seconds.

they're not the cheap plastic kind like hornblasters.com sells. mine are all metal so i think they should be. hell, thats the only place i could mount them other than removing the spare tire.

this is the one i got for my truck, with an extra 5gal tank, it makes a damn good on board air system too. you cant hardly find a good compressor by itself for that cheap.
